Screw Jam is one of the best puzzle games released on any platform in years. It’s simple to learn, yet the more advanced the puzzle levels get, the more difficult they are to solve. This combination creates an exciting game and easy to learn, but still challenging enough to keep your interest as the puzzle levels increase.
The premise of Screw Jam is simple, just tap on the screws to remove them and load the trays as the slide in from left to right. The key is that you need to pair screws with their correspondingly color-coded trays. After you pass the first couple of tutorial style levels, a neutral colored tray appears that words as a holding place until the next colored tray slides in. This tray allows you to temporarily bank any colored screws in it until they can be moved into the tray matching their color. Be careful though, if you fill up the neutral tray and you can’t fill the color specific tray above, you’ve lost the level and have to either spend resources to continue or start over.
As gameplay progresses and more levels are completed, other elements of the game are introduced, like the hammer, which allows you to smash a pane of glass that the screws hold in place, thereby exposing more screws to fill up the current tray you need to complete. Don’t use your resources willy-nilly though. They are limited. You want to save them for when you really get in a bind or encounter a level where it’s required to actually use them.
If you get stuck on any level, we are here to help. We have video walkthroughs of every Screw Jam level in the game. So if you’re stuck, all you have to do is find the level number you’re stuck on and watch the video. We’ll show you the correct order (there may be more than one exact solution, by the way) to remove the screws so you can pass the level and move on to the next. To find the level you need help with, just use the navigation menu or the in page links to click to the level or you can use the search bar in the header of the site to search for it.
